Re: Mom’s house

This is what I hope will be my last communication with the landlord. And it’s too late for more writing so it’s also today’s Screed.

I didn’t send him the attached picture, but I’m sure he’ll discover it soon enough. He didn’t like the last garage message and I bet he’ll like this one even less. He particularly won’t like that I added all 3 garage messages images to Google Maps.

I didn’t mean the account changes as notice specifically, but yes, we are out. All our property has been removed, the door is repainted to just green, the interior doors are in their original configuration, and the yard and cleaning crews have both completed their service. I believe that’s everything we discussed.

We left trash bags, toilet paper, and hand soap so visitors will be able to keep safe and clean.

Everything (doors, windows, thermostat, fridge, etc.) is configured to be safe for vacancy and in a low-power mode.

All our keys are in the lock box outside the kitchen door. The same key opens all the exterior locks. The electronic lock has been put into factory-reset mode and is currently not active.

All the other household equipment — remotes for the fans, lights, blinds, garage door, appliance manuals, etc. are in the top drawer in the hall. In the laundry room in the basement there are a few window screens and furnace filters.

I have set end August 31 dates for our accounts with the electric and gas services, so I’ll be able to settle with them directly for our usage. In the next few weeks you’ll want to create new gas and electric accounts that retroactively start billing on September 1.

As required by law the water/trash service remains in the registered owner’s name. Though it doesn’t align with a billing period I have made an estimated payment to cover the account through the end of August. If in the final bill there are additional charges for that period please let me know and I’ll take care of them. As you saw I have configured this account to send paper bills to your address; there is also a web account for https://myutilities.seattle.gov/eportal/#/

Zach, just got 2 emails from the City of Seattle saying the billing address has changed and that paper billing is now turned on!

Does that mean you have already moved?

Have a great day!
